The never-ending experiment… (pt 7)
In order for anyone to step out of this cycle and be restored, redeemed, and reconciled to a holy God, it requires an inward transformation that Jesus said you must be born again.
The exact moment you surrender your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior and place faith in the finished work of Him, a supernatural occurrence takes place. God’s Holy Spirit enters your human spirit and breathes new life into it. You are instantly reconnected to God. Your spirit is made alive and is justified. Your soul begins a daily process of healing. The Holy Spirit renews your mind and guides your decisions that honor and please God, and your body becomes a temple of the living God, where your gifts and your identity reflect Him.
It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and now operate within a kingdom with Christ as our King, and we reflect His teachings as we use our God-given gifts to build up the people of God and point others to Him through Jesus, all to glorify God.
But understand this: being made a new creation is the beginning of the journey, not the end. While the spiritual occurrence is instantaneous, growing into maturity requires active commitment on your end. To keep from falling back into old, exhausting patterns, you must intentionally feed the spirit of the living God that dwells inside of you. This means dedicating yourself to studying Scripture, allowing the living Word of God to continually transform your mind, walking in obedience to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and actively gathering in fellowship with other sisters and brothers in the body of Christ. You cannot grow in isolation. We need the accountability and encouragement so that we can mature, stand firm against deception, and grow daily in Christ.
The ultimate conclusion of the “never-ending experiment” is that eventually it comes to an end. It is time that you acknowledge that there are only two options: life or death; good or evil; righteousness or wickedness; God or Satan. Believing anything beyond this is already rooted in deception.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (John 3:16-18)
Salvation is a gift from God that is offered to all who believe in Christ. So, in regards to the path of life or the path of destruction…choose life in every situation.
