As a sculptural painter, drywall mud with acrylic paint are primarily used to build three-dimensional forms on canvas. Up until mid-2023, Morgan’s art focused on raising awareness about mental health challenges among young girls and women. She was compelled to address issues like depression and its link to the rising suicide rates over recent years. Earlier paintings visually expressed this through colorful figures emerging from dark backgrounds that symbolize being lost in the darkness and wanting to be found.
Since her walk in Christ began, Morgan’s perspective shifted from the natural to the spiritual, and she saw clearly that the root of any crisis is a lack of hope. But hope can be restored. There’s a living hope given only through faith in Christ—one that leads to a renewal of the mind. Her paintings are a reflection of this shift.
