Read Matthew 19:4-6

There is a profound question often posed to women navigating their desires for the future: “Do you want to be a wife, or do you just want to be married? Do you want to be a mother, or do you just want to have children?” It’s a question that separates temporary statuses of just saying you did something to understanding it as a sacred, God-ordained calling.

To simply be married or to have children can be about fulfilling personal milestones. But being a wife and being a mother require a deep, heart-level posture of devotion. A true godly woman steps into a covenant with a godly man joined together by God Himself—a foundation of unity, grace, and sacrifice that mirrors Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Out of that sacred union flows the strength to be a mother: a keeper of the home who opens her mouth with wisdom (Proverbs 31:26) and intentionally nurtures the precious lives playing at her feet.

Be encouraged today: a godly home is not built by accident; it is cultivated through intentional love of a woman who embraces these sacred roles as a wife and mother. Look past the world’s standard of status, and seek the character, the wisdom, and the devotion it takes to truly steward a household. Trust that as you cultivate a posture of covenant love and faithful motherhood, God will sustain you, honor your labor, and bless the legacy growing under your care.
