Expanding into Visual Painting Films

By the grace of God, my journey into short film projects began when I was featured in a short film in 2020 titled Protect Black Women. Since then, I had always felt this desire to create more short films, I just didn’t know on what because that specific path to move forward remained unclear, so this was an area I was still trying to figure out.

When I surrendered to Jesus as my Lord and Savior, everything changed. While the creative details on the short films didn’t arrive all at once, I received something far more vital: clarity on my identity in Christ. Understanding that I am a new creation with a sole purpose to honor, worship, and glorify our heavenly Father completely transformed my perspective. This renewed mindset shifted how I viewed many things including my art, ultimately leading to the vision for Visual Painting Films.

These films will act as a bridge that uses live-action storytelling to capture the biblical message behind each sculptural painting while bringing awareness to the work itself.

I am grateful to the Lord for the expansion as it will provide another resource to meet people where they are in regards to how they best receive information:

  • Blogs for the readers

  • The ‘Blogcast’ audio series for the listeners

  • Original sculptural paintings and Visual Painting Films for those who connect through sight

Every one of these resources exists to point others to Christ and support them in maturing in their faith.

The first short film project will center on the “Three Girls” painting. Filming is scheduled to take place in April.

I humbly ask for your prayers for the Lord’s divine guidance and inspiration over this expansion. Thank you so much!

Morgan
