Support the Three Girls Visual Painting Film Production!
Hey hey!
You may know of my past creative projects—being featured in a short film, independently publishing a book, and having over 10 paintings that have either sat against my wall “collecting dust" or made occasional appearances at art exhibits. I’ve never been great at promoting my own work, especially my paintings. But the season I’m currently in calls me to share, and I’m constantly reminded that I can’t do this on my own.
Waiting Area LLC is a Christ-centered media and art company. We are spreading the Gospel of Jesus through writing and sculptural paintings. One way this is done is through "Visual Painting Films," where the biblical message is shared through cinematic production of the sculptural painting.
Currently, I am working with a film crew in Chicago, IL, to bring the Three Girls painting (pictured above) to life. We are scheduled to shoot in Chicago the weekend of April 10–12, where I will be traveling from my residence (a 5.5-hour drive to and from) with the 24” x 48” sculptural painting. The short film captures the shift from the worldly standard of parenting to the peace that comes from functioning as a parent in the way God intends for us to and seeing children as a gift from Him. This isn’t just a short film; it’s reality. It tells the story of so many of us navigating parenthood. It also serves as a reminder of our godly responsibility to cherish and protect children, and to train them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
The Inspiration
Last year on Mother’s Day, I received a heartfelt text from a dear friend and sister in Christ. She hasn’t missed a year so far (no pressure though…she may be reading this lol). In my response to her, I began to articulate a shift I was seeing in my own life. Before my walk in Christ, I was mothering according to the world’s standards, and honestly, it felt like a constant, uphill battle. Then, with surrendering my life to Christ, came a complete transformation that changed the way I see my daughter and my role as a mother. This short film is a cinematic reflection of that shift.
The short film will be released for the world to see on Saturday, May 9, 2026 (Mother’s Day weekend).
