Support the Three Girls Visual Painting Film Production!
Hey hey!
I’ve never been great about sharing the different projects I’m working on, especially my paintings. But the season I’m currently in calls me to share, and I’m constantly reminded that I cannot do this on my own. So, welcome to the Waiting Area—a Christ-centered media and fine art company.
A little bit about me
Before my transformation in Christ, I was already active in creative arts, having been featured in a short film, independently published a book along with having a collection of about 12 sculptural paintings. While those projects focused on mental health and persevering through suffering, the core message of it all offered a sense of freedom that pointed people to themselves and not to the true source. After my encounter with God, I felt a strong conviction that my earlier work no longer aligned with my truth in Christ. I discontinued the book on Amazon, burned the remaining copies I had stored in my home, and removed the paintings from my home. My art collection currently consists of four paintings. I am rebuilding on an unchanging foundation through my faith in Christ.
What’s happening now!
I’m excited to share that, by the grace of God, I have taken the step to expand the Waiting Area’s resources with Visual Painting Films. These short films will bridge live-action storytelling with the paintings, capturing the biblical message of each piece to spread the Gospel along with bringing awareness to the art piece. I have signed a contract with a film crew in Chicago, IL, to film the first project: the Three Girls painting (pictured above). We are scheduled to shoot the weekend of April 10–12. I will be traveling from my residence (a 5.5-hour drive) to Chicago with the 24” x 48” sculptural painting. This particular short film tells the story of so many of us navigating parenthood. It will shine a light on the shift from worldly standards of parenting to the peace that comes with functioning in the way God intends. Children are a gift from the Lord and it is our godly responsibility to cherish and protect them, and to train them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
The Inspiration
Last year on Mother’s Day, I received a heartfelt text from a dear friend and sister in Christ. She hasn’t missed a year so far (no pressure though…just in case she’s reading this lol). In my response to her, I began to articulate a shift I was seeing in my own life. Before my walk in Christ, I was mothering according to the world’s standards, and honestly, it felt like a constant, uphill battle. With the surrender of my life to Christ came a complete transformation that changed the way I see my daughter and my role as a mother. This short film is a cinematic reflection of that shift. If it’s the Lord’s will, it will be released for the world to see on Saturday, May 9, 2026 (Mother’s Day weekend).
Here’s how you can help!
This is a grassroots project, and I’m looking to raise $3,500 to support this short film. Your support—whether monetary or simply by sharing this link, is greatly appreciated! Any funding support (as you feel led) will help fund the cast (it’s so exciting to say this!! lol), travel, the remaining production balance, meals for the cast and film crew, wardrobe, and marketing.
I will post updates on my website every Friday showing our progress. This campaign will open on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 12 PM and close on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 12 PM.
I am so grateful for you!
